Where is the Ranch located? Where will I be staying?
The Ranch at Hays Creek is located in Franklinton, Louisiana, just outside the city limits. From I-55, take the exit toward Franklinton (LA-10) and follow LA-10 into town. Once in Franklinton, turn onto LA Highway 438 and continue for several miles. The ranch entrance will be on the roadside, marked by a white fence surrounding the property and a gated entrance.
Is a deposit required for booking?
Yes, a 50% deposit is required to reserve and secure your date, with the remaining balance due prior to your scheduled visit.
What should I bring?
If you plan to hunt, please bring all necessary gear, including appropriate clothing, weapons, and personal items. Please note, there is no general store available on site.
What Expenses are not included in the hunt package?
Additional costs include meat processing, taxidermy, state hunting licenses, transportation, and tips for guides and staff.
Can I Bring a Non-hunting guest?
Absolutely! We welcome non-hunting guests at a daily rate that includes shared lodging, meals, drinks, and cleaning fee.
What is recommended attire?
Camouflage clothing is recommended, with specifics depending on the season.
Do you offer meat processing and taxidermy services?
While The Ranch at Hays Creek does not offer processing or taxidermy services on-site, we are happy to provide free delivery to our preferred local processor and taxidermist to help make the process as seamless as possible.
